چکیده
The objective of this study is to develop crystallo-co-agglomeratesof metronidazole having improved physicochemical, compressibility andsolubility properties. process agglomeration employed the use ofdichloromethane (good solvent), ethanol (bridging liquid) and distilled water (poorsolvent). Micromeritic properties co-agglomerates werestudied in terms bulk density, tapped Carr's index, Hausner’sratio, angle repose. Co-agglomerates were also subjected compactionstudies using Heckel Kawakita compaction models. Characterisation ofthe agglomerates was studied Scanning electronic microscopy, Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction. co-agglomerateswere further evaluated for drug release profile. micrometric anddissolution characteristics significantlyimproved when compared pure metronidazole. repose formetronidazole found be 29.77°±1.09, Carr’s index was13.60±0.35, Hausner’s ratio 1.15±0.06, indicating good flow ability. Thedrug released over a period 30 min 102.61%, shows better drugrelease than drug, could due solubilization inpresence hydrophilic polymers. It can concludedthat successfully prepared crystallo-co-agglomeration technique with properties, excellentcompressibility, solubility characteristics.

A target of best dissolution improvement of poorly soluble drugs is a necessity for the success of formulation in industry. The present work describes the preparation, optimization, and evaluation of a new spherical agglomeration technique for glimepiride as a model of poorly soluble drugs. It involved the emulsification of a drug solution containing a dispersed carrier that tailors the crystal...

Agglomeration and Co-Agglomeration of Services Industries
Economic research on industry location and agglomeration has focused nearly exclusively on manufacturing. This paper shows that services are prominent among the most agglomerated industries, especially at the county level. Because traditional measures of knowledge spillovers, natural resource inputs, and labor pooling explain little of agglomeration in services industries, this paper takes an a...
متن کاملEffect of drug content and agglomerate size on tabletability and drug release characteristics of bromhexine hydrochloridetalc agglomerates prepared by crystallo-co-agglomeration.
The objective of the investigation was to study the effect of bromhexine hydrochloride (BXH) content and agglomerate size on mechanical, compressional and drug release properties of agglomerates prepared by crystallo-co-agglomeration (CCA). Studies on optimized batches of agglomerates (BXT1 and BXT2) prepared by CCA have showed adequate sphericity and strength required for efficient tabletting....
